International cricket council organizes ICC cricket world cup (which is a one day cricket match) every 4 years.The 1st world cup which is also called the Prudential cup took place in the year 1975 at England.Australia won the world cup trophy four times while West Indies won two times.India,Pakistan and Sri lanka won one time each.
