South African fast bowler Andre Nel made a quick retirement from the international cricket on March 25th after an eight year career in the South African team during which he took more than 100 wickets in both ODI and Test cricket.

Andre nel took 123 wickets in 36 tests for South Africa at an average of 31.86.He told to the media that he is retiring from the international cricket with a heavy heart.He also added that playing for his country was a dream come true.

Andre Nel made his ODI debut against West Indies in the year 2001 and test debut against Zimbabwe four months later.He played his last international matches (both ODI and test) for South Africa against England in the last year.

Andre nel played 79 ODIs including the 2007 world cup and took 106 wickets at an average of 27.68 with an economy rate of 4.63.He once took 5 wickets in an innings and he took 4 wickets in an innings three times.There are also 381 first class wickets in his credit.

Andre Nel has now signed to play for Surrey in the English County Season
