James Sutherland
Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland said on March 5th that they are ready to host 2011 Cricket World Cup which was scheduled to play in the Asian countries like India,Pakistan,Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.International Cricket Council (ICC) announced earlier that they will only make Pakistan as a venue for the coming World-cup in 2011 if there are no problems with the security concerns after the terror attack in Mumbai.Again after the attack against the Sri Lankan cricket team at Lahore in Pakistan near the Gaddafi stadium made ICC to think seriously about the venue of the 2011 world cup cricket.
Now the Australia and New Zealand cricket boards said that they are ready to host the 2011 World-Cup.Most probably this announcement by these two cricket boards will take seriously by the ICC.Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland also stressed that the tournament must take place in the Asian countries as decided.Anyway the ICC’s board will discuss about the attacks in Lahore which killed eight people and left seven Sri Lankan cricketers wounded and the outcomes for the world-cup at a meeting in Dubai next month.
