The Kiwi wicket keeper cum batsman Brendon McCullum is the new captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL season 2 which is going to start on April 18th at Cape town.McCullum has replaced the prince of Kolkata Sourav Ganguly from the captainship.

So the debate for the multiple captains by the team coach John Buchanan has at last came to an end due to this decision by the team management.John Buchanan told that McCullum also has the support from the senior players like Ganguly,Brad Hodge and chris Gayle.

Sourav Ganguly is  the third cricketer to lost the captaincy in the IPL.The first to lost was V V S Laxman of Deccan chargers and the new captain of this team is Adam Gilchrist.The captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore is an English Player Kevin Pietersen instead of Rahul Dravid who is the captain of the IPL’s first edition.
