David Morrison, a amateur league wicket keeper whose all the 10 fingers have been broken

In 45 years of wicket keeping career, David Morrison who is an amateur league cricketer had broken all of his 10 fingers.He was reluctant to seek medical attention because he was feared that he may lose his place in the team.So he simply apply a bag of frozen peas and carry on playing.

When doctors got a chance to look at the fingers of David Morrison, they said that the fingers are so badly damaged and needs to be pinnned in place.The doctors were really amazed and they took the photographs of Morrison’s fingers.He is now aged 66 years and had sought medical aid.

David Morrison, a taxi driver from Scruton, suffered most of his injuries in his younger days wearing flimsy chamois leather gloves.

The tournament consists a total of four matches.Each team will play each other once and the top two teams will proceed to the final

The tour was not scheduled yet.The Sri Lanka cricket (SLC) said that they have talked to the Indian and New Zealand officials at the Lord’s earlier this week, which made the decision that the tournament will host in Sri Lanka.Ranatunga appreciated BCCI for agreeing this unscheduled tour.

Ranatunga announced that SLC will open tenders for broadcasting rights for the tournament.

But Ravi Bopara said against to the Warne’s comments that he had got a place in the England national test team only due to his series of consistent performances and he has bagged his third spot on merit.

Bopara had a terrible start to his test career with three consecutive ducks after the debut in Kandy against Sri Lanka in 2007-08.But he came back strongly with three consecutive centuries in the West Indies tour earlier this year.He also had an excellent IPl tournament.

South African cricket selectors are now quite into the stream of merit selection and that is why the south African team became the top in the one-day ICC ranking overtaking Australia.There were 7 black players in the team when they won a series in Australia as well as in England.

The players like Ashwell Prince and jean Paul Duminy became the stars of that series.J P Duminy was also in the team before but he didn’t even get one game for most of the series to show his cricketing talents.what is the reason,color…?
And at last he had got a chance to play since Ashwell prince got an injury and Duminy showed his talents with his excellent knock of 166 runs in the match against which clinched the series against Australia.

J P Duminy had a great IPL tournament this year in which he scored a total runs of 372 runs from 13 games and he was quite consistent all through the IPL T20 tournament both with the bat and ball.But his talents were not seen by the South African selectors for a long time since his talents were covered by his skin colour and it was revealed by the IPL.

Mark Boucher,the South African wicket keeper said that the South African cricket team selection had improved a lot now a days since they are almost selecting the team on the basis of merit and not on the colors like black,white,pink,blue etc.

There was a great problem of racism always in South African cricket system.It became a great issue when Mkhaya Ntini was first selected into the team because of his black color but he was a successful pacer for the team.Its 21st century,lets hope the racial discrimination will end up at least in the fields of sports and games.

The survival of the ICL has been a great question since lot of players have been withdrawn from the Indian Cricket League.The advent of the BCCI venture Indian Premier League (IPL) still worsened the condition of the Indian cricket league.

Most of the foreign cricketers have left from the ICL due to the strong actions taken from that country’s cricket board and the ICC.And now the ICL have 79 Indian cricketers and now they are also deciding to quit from the league which is a pathetic condition for the ICL which will perish in no time.

ICL officials like Kapil Dev,Tony Greig and Himanshu Mody told that they now have 40 odd players and they can even recruit new talented players which can rebuild their own empire.They also told that the economic recession will aid them to make the courts in London to force the ICC for granting recognition of the ICL which will eventually get more sponsors for this cricketing tournament and also there will be more and more players willing to play in the tournament because of their secured cricket life.The foreign players now in the ICL are the retired international cricketers.

ICL officials said that their main motivation is to promote talented indian cricketers in which they are also succeeded to an extent in which they produces good cricketers like R Sathish,G Vignesh and Alfred Absolem.But the ICL was really struggled to make a sparkle in cricket since Brian Lara,ICL’s biggest signing failed to continue in the ICL after a season.And the sparse crowds in the Indian grounds failed them in which they launched the project of Rs 100 crores [US$ 21 million (Approx)] but failed to make a profit from the tournament.

It was the vindictive attitude of the BCCI that worsened the condition of the ICL and the BCCI started a venture called IPL which quite devastated the ICL.BCCI persuaded the sponsors to stay away from the ICL and they also convinced the ICC to ban the ICL.BCCI also successfully able to convince other cricket boards to shut the doors for the cricketers to play in the ICL.

IPL 1 and IPL 2 in turn was a huge success which again worsened the condition of the ICL Twenty20 cricket.BCCI even led the ICC president David Morgan to solve the issue amicably but it ended up in two compromise meetings without any positive output and the BCCI at-last approved that ICL could emerge as a Vett20 icl newserans’ league which obviously ICL officials refused.

Sri Lankan cricket honoured the bus driver Mohammed Khalil who saved their lives from the hands of the brutal terrorists last month at Lahore.Mr khalil sped away from the attack site when the bullets rained down on the bus safely into the stadium from where the Sri lankan cricketers were safely airlifted.The brave attempt of this Bus Driver saved the life of the Sri Lankan cricketers.Muttiah Muralitharan told that it was because of only that driver that we are alive today.
