India beat West Indies in the 3rd ODI at St Lucia.India won the match by the D/L method.The third ODI was a rain interrupted game and India needed 11 runs off the final over and the Indian captain M S Dhoni lead his side to victory with one more ball to spare.
The rain interrupted the game at regular intervals and the India’s target were adjusted to 195 runs in 27 overs which was again reduced to 159 in 22 overs due to further shower.
Dinesh Karthik got out after taking 47 runs and then India needed 111 runs from 89 balls.At last due to the lost of quick wickets India needed 34 runs from the last 4 overs.yusuf Pathan and M S Dhoni made India victorious with one more ball to spare in which they needed 11 runs from the last over of Jerome Taylor and Dhoni hit a six in the 2nd ball to the deep midwicket which lead an easy victory for India at the end.
Ramnaresh Sarwan was the top scorer for his side who took 62 runs.Captain Gayle had also played his part who took 27 runs from 14 balls.They set a very good total of 189 runs in 27 overs.
