Sachin Tendulkar and Dwayne Bravo are delighted with Mumbai's victory, Kings XI Punjab v Mumbai Indians, IPL, Centurion, May 12, 2009
In the 42nd match between IPL Mumbai and IPL Punjab at the supersport park,centurion was the match of spinners since the IPL Punjab was struggling to get runs in the overs of Harbhajan Singh and J P Duminy.
Harbhajan Singh gave only 9 runs in his 4 overs and he also took the wicket of Kumar Sangakkara.On the other hand J P Duminy took the precious wickets of the IPL Punjab’s skipper Yuvraj Singh and Wilkin Mota.These two bowlers bowled extremely well and limited them to take only 119/9 in 20 overs.
In response to this Dwayne Bravo and Sanath Jayasuriya opened the innings and they lost an early wicket of Jayasuriya taken by Brett Lee.Dwayne Bravo took 21 runs in just one over of Sree Santh which made it very easy for the IPL Mumbai to reach their target.
Both Bravo and the IPL Mumbai’s skipper Sachin Tendulkar stayed on the middle till the end of the game and they won the game with 3.4 overs to spare.Bravo took 70* runs from just 59 balls and Tendulkar took 41 runs.But the man of the match is Harbhajan Singh for his outstanding performance with the ball.
