Giles Clarke under pressure

Giles clarke who is the chairman of both England Cricket Board (ECB) and Wales cricket Board is in great pressure since the counties asked him to get down from the chairmanship. He was asked to do so because he had planned to conduct five $20m matches with a contract with the billionaire Allen Stanford.Stanford has been fined a huge amount of $8bn because of this fraudulent play.Reports say that he had also plans to conduct new Twenty-20 cricket in England itself.

Most of the counties in England blame clarke for this fake play with Stanford.Leicestershire and Hampshire believe Clarke should step down, but he has been backed by Durham and Middlesex. Leicestershire owner Neil Davidson said that Clarke should resign as soon as possible which is the decent thing he can do.But the ICC chief executive Haroon Lorgat is in favour of clarke said that he had done a good job with Stanford for English cricket.

Clarke also blazed away against the ECB who had closed down all buisness deals with Stanford last year said that he had done a lot of financial support to the West Indies Cricket by giving a lot of cricket tournaments and West Indies cricket Board is also satisfied in that. The West Indies cricket Board also added that they also have a very good relationship with Stanford. The fact is that ECB had lost a net amount of $20m with the Stanford Superstars during the super series matches which took place on November 1st last year.
