England Team Celebrating After winning The Women's World Cup 2009

Caroline Atkins top scored with 40 runs and Nicky Shaw took 4 wickets for 34 as England defeated New Zealand by 4 wickets on March 22 to own the title of Women’s World Cup.

It was England’s third World Cup win and came after the side dismissed New Zealand for 166 in the 48th over at the North Sidney Oval after the kiwis chose to bat.England scored 167 for six and surpassed New zealand’s total with 23 balls remaining.
