Gautham Gambir in the 2nd test between India and New Zealand
Gautham Gambir’s knock of 137 from 436 balls saved the Indian cricket team from losing the game in the Napier test.New Zealand in the first innings put a huge score of 619 runs on the board with the help of Jesse Ryder’s double century and a century from Ross Taylor and Brendon McCullum.
Following on,after being dismissed for 305 in the first innings India fought back with the help of Gautham Gambir and Rahul Dravid.Gambir’s innings comprises of 18 fours.This knock by Gambir is his fifth century in test cricket.Rahul Dravid told that this knock by Gambir will gain him confidence.VVS Laxman also scored a century (124) in 212 balls (His 14th test century).His Innings consists of 25 fours.Yuvraj singh,Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid each scored a half century.
