Faster ball is usually bowled by slow or spin bowlers in order to surprise the batsman by varying the pace.
Spinners like Shahid Afridi and Anil Kumble are well versed in bowling fast deliveries.Usually spinners use the technique of a flipper to bowl a fast delivery. This can also be achieved by increasing the speed of bowling action. But to disguise better, flipper is the best.
Former captain and fast bowler of Pakistan, Imran Khan use this method of faster bowling in which he bowls even faster than his usual fast delivery.
