A leg cutter is a type of delivery in cricket bowled by a fast bowler in which the ball moves away from the right handed batsman that is from the leg side to the off side.To say more clearly, the delivery is some what like a leg spin coming with a speed of 80mph.

Leg cutter for a fast bowler will produce a small spin from leg side to off side (According to a right handed batsman) in which there is a high chance of getting an outside edge to the wicket keeper or slip fielders.

  • At the point of releasing the ball the index and the middle finger act upon the side of the ball so that the thumb passes round under the ball, generating spin on the cricket ball.
