Top-spinner is one of the varieties in the Leg Spinners’ armoury.Top-spinner is delivered by the thumb facing the batsman and the ball tends to dip more quickly than a normal ball and then generates an extra bounce surprising the batsman and sometimes getting an outside edge of the blade.

The top-spin can be bowled by knowing easy two steps

Step 1
Hold the ball like a normal leg break in which the top joints of the index and middle fingers are across the seam, with the ball resting between a bent third finger and the thumb.

Step2
For a top spinner, the wrist will be about 90 degrees to the floor and the seam will be pointing to the batsman in flight. The back of the hand should be facing the sky when the ball is released, similar to googly

The ball should be rotating in an anti-clockwise direction with the seam facing the batsman which means there is no spin is generated by this delivery, rather, the ball approaches straight to the batsman.
