What is an Inswinging delivery in cricket?
The Inswinger is a bowling style in cricket in which the ball moves in the air from the off side of a right handed batsman to the leg side. The later the ball swings into the batsman the more effective it will be.
A better Inswinger depends on different factors like the weather conditions, bowler’s action, the condition of the cricket ball and more importantly the grip on the seam of the ball and its direction.Shining the cricket ball on one side will help the ball to swing more in the air.
You can also bowl Inswinger by knowing easy two steps
Step 1

Inswinger Bowling Grip
Grip the ball with the first two fingers close together on the seam, with the seam in a vertical position. The thumb should be on the seam underneath as shown in the figure.
Step 2

Inswinger grip-At the time of release
At the point of release of the cricket ball, it should be slightly angled towards the leg-side as shown in the figure. The angling of the ball towards the leg-side can be achieved by keeping it vertical, brushing close to the ear.At the time of releasing the ball, the wrist should remain cocked so as to help impart backspin along the orientation of the seam. The shining side should be on the left side of the cricket ball (for a right handed bowler) to produce inswinging delivery.
