How to bowl an off cutter in cricket?

An Off cutter is a delivery in cricket bowled by a fast bowler in which the ball moves from the off side of  a batsman to the leg side.An off cutter is equivalent of facing a fast off spinner.

  • Off cutter grip-With the seam vertical,the index finger will be along the seam and the middle finger will be 2 centimeters away from the seam.The thumb is underneath as well as on the seam as shoen in the figure and the ball rests against the third finger
  • At the point of releasing the ball,the index and the middle finger work down the side of the ball so that the thumb passes over the top of the ball which generates all the spin on the ball.
