Back-foot drive as the name suggests is played off the back foot and it is usually played between mid-off and cover. To play a perfect back-foot drive you must need a good balance and quick feet movement.

When you play the shot your head must be over the ball, which will help you to drive the ball along the ground.

When you are playing the shot the top hand should control the stroke with the bottom hand punching through the ball to provide enough momentum.

Ensure that the follow through is on the line of the shot, completing the shot in a high position.

i read the tip.but i couldnt get the concept about the footwork.what kind of foot work is needed when we play a back foot drive.should we go fully back in the crease or stay where we are.and what should be the initial movement while playing this shot.i tried to play this shot many times but was unsuccesful.i kept on getting bold while playing this shot.can you give me the basic footwork idea to play this shot.
