International Cricket Council (ICC) declared on April 17th that Pakistan would not host the 2011 World Cup because of security concerns. The ICC president David Morgon said that it is actually a disappointing decision and there is no other choice since none of the international players are willing to play in Pakistan. He also added that the Sri Lankan cricketers’ near death experience forced the council to take this decision.
The Pakistan Cricket Board will lose a huge amount of 8 billion dollars if the World Cup is not hosted in Pakistan and the PCB president Ijaz Butt said that it is really disappointing to change the venue of the 2011 world cup.
