ICC chief Haroon Lorgat to the reporters
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is planning to change the 2011 world Cup venues because of security reasons which was fixed to play in 4 countries namely India,Pakistan,Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
The ICC chief Haroon Lorgat said in a meeting in New Delhi that Pakistan haven’t played any test cricket for almost a year since the Australia and India have decided not to tour of Pakistan due to security reasons.He also added safety and security are more into consideration than anything and ICC will make Pakistan as the world Cup arena only if there is proper security.
Lorgat conveyed that they will appoint an independent security assessor as a normal procedure and the ultimate decision would be told afterwards and the ICC also confirmed that the opening ceremony of 2011 world cup will take place in Bangladesh.
