Organisers of the Indian Premier League (IPL)  scrambled to find an emergency venue for the profitable cricket tournament since security fears forced them to abandon the IPL cricket tournament in India.England and South Africa has got the first priority to host the IPL’s Twenty-20 games from April 10-May 24,although the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Sri Lanka are also being considered.

The IPL which is owned by the Indian Cricket Board moved the tournament abroad on March 22nd (Sunday) itself since the government said it could not provide special security at the same time as protecting general elections. The IPL commissioner Lalit Modi said that changing the venue especially at the last moment is really painstaking since all the arrangements have to be completed in a few days but he also added that he was determined to secure a suitable alternative.

The IPL constitutes about 59 twenty-20 matches extravaganza which features Indian cricketers and the world’s top players in 8 teams which were owned by bollywood film stars and the country’s wealthiest businessmen.
