Brad Hodge played well but couldn't seal victory, Kolkata Knight Riders v Mumbai Indians, IPL, 23rd match, East London, May 1, 2009

Bowlers of the IPL Kolkatta restricted IPL Mumbai in getting a huge score but they failed to win against Sachin Tendulkar led IPL Mumbai.Mumbai Indians won the toss and they elected to bat first and they took a reasonable total of 148 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.J P Duminy took 52* runs in just 37 deliveries and he is also the top scorer for the team.

In response to this Kolkatta Knight Riders experimented by opening the innings with Saurav Ganguly and Chris Gayle.Saurav Ganguly and Chris Gayle were both bowled by Zaheer Khan in the first and third over respectively.Brad Hodge’s stunning performance didn’t do well for his team.He took 73 runs from just 60 deliveries and he was run out in the penultimate over by J P Duminy.However they lost the game by 9 runs.
