Kings XI Punjab desperately needed a victory today against IPL Chennai

It is obvious from the yesterday’s victory by IPL Bangalore that IPL Punjab surely need a win to get through to the semi finals in the IPL 2009.

IPL Bangalore won against the IPL Delhi with one more over to spare so they have got more net run rate (NRR) of -0.25 than the Yuvraj Singh led IPL Punjab of -0.42.IPL Punjab is now in the 5th position so they desperately need a win against M S Dhoni led IPL Chennai while chennai also needed a win to ensure a semi final position.
