Left-arm orthodox spin in cricket as the name suggests is bowled by a left-arm bowler. It is the mirror image of an off spinner bowled by a right-arm bowler. As a result of the left-arm orthodox delivery the ball spins from the leg side to the off side of a right handed batsman.
Left-arm orthodox grip is exactly that of a off-spinner grip of a right-arm bowler.
Left-arm orthodox spin is a challenging art in cricket since it needs constant practise for the bowler to get the right flight, dip, sharp spin and drift in the air. Their variations are arm ball,top-spinner and Doosra.
