Muttiah Muralitharan

Muttiah Muralitharan is not a conventional off break bowler.Muralitharan can otherwise called as a off break wrist bowler since he generates all his off-spin from his wrist rather than from the fingers, which is the conventional way.Muralitharan is the highest wicket taker in both ODI and test international games. He was also rated as the greatest Test match bowler ever by Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack in 2002.

Muttiah Muralitharan has got a unique arm rotation and a terrific wrist action which produced all the magic deliveries from his hands. His unique bowling action called into question a number of times especially the doosras. The match officials reported that he was bending his arm upto 10 degrees when he was bowling doosras which was against the acceptable guidelines of ICC, that is only 5 degrees in 2004.But in 2005 ICC amended the rules, which says that any bowlers (fast and slow bowlers) can bent their arms upto 15 degrees, and Muralitharan’s doosra once again became a legal delivery.

The video will show you why he is bowling with this unique off -break style and the secrets of his great success in his cricketing career as a bowler.
