Cricket Balls are manufactured from the core of a cork and the scientific name of the cork is called Quercus Suber which consists mainly of suberin.The core of the cork which is extracted is first layered and then it is covered by a leather case with a bit aroused sewn seem.The Cricket ball is a cricket equipment which is mainly made up 4 pieces.The two pieces of the cricket ball which constitutes one hemisphere is rotated 90 degrees with respect to the other.The equator of the cricket ball is stitched with a string to make up a seem.The cricket ball is usually polished in red which is meant for test cricket.The Introduction of white ball was done by the advent of floodlight cricket matches which was first organised by Kerry Packer.
