The Most ODI Hat-Tricks By The Cricketers

Wasim Akram and Saqlain Mushtaq of Pakistan and Chaminda Vaas of Sri Lanka are the only three cricketers to take 2 ODI Hat-Tricks each.

Wasim Akram PhotoWasim Akram’s first Hat-Trick was against West Indies at 14th October 1989 in which he took the wickets of Jeff Dujon,Malcom Marshall and Curtly Ambrose.The 2nd Hat-trick was against Australia at 4th May 1990 in which he took the wickets of Merv Hughes,Carl Rackemann and Terry Alderman.All the six batsmen got out by bowled and both the events happend at the Sharjah Stadium in Sharjah.

saqlain mushtaq picSaqlain Mushtaq took both the Hat-Tricks against Zimbabwe.The 1st Hat-Trick was at 3rd April !996 at Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar in which he took the wickets of Grant Flower (c-Moin Khan),John Rennie (c-Moin Khan) and Andrew Whittal (c-Salim Malik).The 2nd Hat-Trick was at 11th June 1999 at Oval in London in which he took the wickets of Henry Olonga (St-Moin Khan),Adam Huckley (St-Moin Khan) and Mpumelelo Mbangwa (LBW).

Chaminda Vaas photoChaminda Vaas took 1st Hat-Trick against Zimbabwe at 8th December 2001 at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo in which he took the wickets of Stuart Carlisle (c-Suresh Perera),Craig Wishart (LBW) and Tatenda Taibu (LBW).The 2nd Hat-Trick was against Bangladesh at 14th February 2003 at Pietermaritzburg Oval,Pietermaritzburg in South Africa in which he took the wickets of Hannan Sarkar(b),Mohammed Ashraful(c&b) and Ehsanul Haque (c-Mahela Jayawardene).
