Mumbai Indians came with a bang after their loss to the present top team of the IPL Deccan Chargers.In the 17th match of the IPL,Mumbai Indians took on the Shah Rukh Khan franchisee team Kolkatta Knight riders.Mumbai Indians won the toss and the skipper Sachin Tendulkar chose to bat first.
It was a very good decision by Tendulkar since Sachin himself and the Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya batted superbly by taking the best ever first wicket partnership in T20 of 127 runs.Sachin tendulkar was got out by Shukla in the 13th over but however Sachin had put his IPL Mumbai in a very best position by taking 68 runs in just 45 balls which consists of 6 fours and 4 sixes.Jayasuriya also scored a half century (52 runs) in just 32 balls which consists of 2 fours and 4 sixes.Both these players had played a huge role in setting up a huge score of 187 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.
In response to this IPL kolkatta doesn’t performed much well in batting since they lost the quick wickets of the thunderer Chris Gayle and the kiwi player Brendon McCullum.The top scorer of the team is the prince of kolkatta Sourav Ganguly who took 34 runs from just 30 balls.Anyway they lost the game by 92 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 15.2 overs.Lasith Malinga of the IPL Mumbai got two consecutive wickets but he was unlucky sice he didn’t get the hat-trick wicket because Anureet Singh didn’t bat due to abs hurt.
